One Winchester, Many Traditions International Film Series presents a delicious French film on Monday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m.
The film (121 minutes, rated PG-13) is a tantalizing tale about desire. Vianne Rocher and her 6-year-old daughter open a chocolate shop in a provincial French village. The townspeople are shocked when Vianne leaves her shop open during Lent, but her confections are too tempting for them to resist!
“[This film] is more than a delicious confection; it's a richly textured comic fable… generously laced with Lasse Hallstrom's trademark observations on the limitless capacity of the human spirit.” (Variety)
The showing is free and open to the public. (Seating is limited). Our licensing contract does not permit us to post the name of the film online. Call the Reference Department, 781-721-7171 x20 for more infomration.
The Winchester Multicultural Network's mission is : to promote the recognition, understanding, & appreciation of diversity -- to advocate for each and every person’s civil rights -- and to confront intolerance.
