Reference Room

On this page:

THE ALADDIN READER. The Reader in the Reference Room is a magnifier with a 14" TV screen that allows people to read that teeny, tiny print on everything from books and magazines to maps and bills. It is possible to magnify the image 4½ to 50 times larger. It's easy to use. Flip the switch, slide the item to be read on the tray and adjust the image and focus with two knobs. Ask a Reference Librarian to show you how to use it.

HOME DELIVERY IN WINCHESTER. Do you or does someone you know have trouble getting to the Library due to physical limitations? Did you know that the Library, with the help of a wonderful group of volunteers, can deliver books and audio-books? The homebound person may request particular titles or a general type of book. The Community Services Librarian will gather the items and a volunteer will deliver them, as well as come to get them when it’s time to return them to the library. If you or someone you know would like to take advantage of this service, please call the Community Services Librarian, Janet Nelson, at 781-721-7171, ext. 24 or send her an e-mail: jnelson@minlib.net
