Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by reading poetry and short stories written by award winning AAPI authors. There are certainly a number of novels and works of nonfiction that would be good selections to get a sense of the AAPI experience but if you have a brief time to read then poems and short stories are an opportunity to be exposed to a rich diverse tradition. These poems and short stories speak of AAPI culture and identity and delve deep into the immigrant and refugee experience. Check out some of these titles.
