Hello Winchester! Exciting news coming from the Children’s Room! As the weather begins to warm up we’re planning on holding some of our programs outside! This way we can all see each other but still maintain our social distance. Not everything will transition from virtual to in-person, so if you’re not quite ready for in-person events, not to worry! We hope to have a mix until we can all safely return to a “new normal”. We will clearly indicate on our calendar whether the program will be “VIRTUAL” OR “IN-PERSON”, and sometimes (depending on the program), both will be an option.
We’ll continue to adhere to the state mask mandates, as well as follow the procedures and guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Outdoor Events. We also have our own safety checklist that librarians will be using. We will provide specific tips on how to make the best out of your socially-distant library programs, and will require registration for all in-person events in order to best communicate this information to our participants.
We hope to begin our in-person programming in May, so stay tuned! If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact us [email protected] or the Head of Children’s [email protected].
Looking forward to seeing many of you in person soon!
