Dyslexia is a language-based learning difference, where the brain processes the written word differently from the manner in which mainstream education teaches reading. Customized tools and techniques can help those with dyslexia access the written word. There are fonts that were created by and for those with dyslexia, and many ebook readers (including Libby and Hoopla) allow readers to choose the OpenDyslexic font. Our librarians would be happy to show you how to change the font if you are interested. Here are some books about dyslexia, both fiction and non-fiction, some of which were written by authors with dyslexia.
